Pouakai Crossing Park and Ride

Got your own car! Shuttle transport from Mangorei Road carpark to the beginning of the Pouakai Crossing. Hike at your own pace and finish in your own time!

Collection Time

We will collect you from the Mangorei Trailhead Carpark anywhere between 7:00am to 8:45am and take you to the North Egmont Visitors centre to start the Pouakai Crossing. Collection times will be confirmed the evening before departure dependant on passenger numbers.

Mangorei Road Carpark location

Google Maps Mangorei Track Trailhead, 1878 Mangorei Track, Mangorei 4371.  This will give you the approximate time it takes to drive from your accommodation to the carpark where we will collect you. Usually around 20 minutes drive from central New Plymouth.
